Spring is finally here in British Columbia and the boat build is almost complete. In Episode 3, we finish up the final upgrades on the Marlon SP14 before kicking off Stillwater fishing season.
From installing a brand new fish finder setup to upgrading trailer ratchet straps and dialing in 100ft anchor lines, this episode is all about getting the rig fully prepared for long days on the water.
We mounted a new Lowrance Hook Reveal 7 fish finder, wired up the transducer, cleaned up the cable management, upgraded the trailer with retractable ratchet straps, and swapped out old anchor rope systems for longer, lighter deep-water setups.
As always, not everything went according to plan, but that’s part of the process. With the ice coming off the lakes and fishing season in full swing, this build series is officially wrapping up and the boat is ready to hit the water.
